Hallo zusammen!
Larissa
Chicago Blues
- the most famous Blues-style, because of its special feeling and sound
- the sound of a harmonica/mouth-organ, slide-guitars, a boogie piano, a rhythm group and an impressive singing
- its sound reminds us to little noisy bars of the South Side of Chicago or little Combos performing Sunday morning in the Maxwell Street
- it was the first Blues-style, who reached a bigger public all around the world
- How did this style of Blues develop?
- Even there were a lot of Blues musicians before the Second World War, it has grown big after it.
- The history will give us a key to understand this development
- After the second world war a lot of blacks came to the north, as they longed for a better life and better jobs
- Because of this migration Chicago earned more money, which was important for the economic situation
- New labels were created, which had a great influence to the development of music, especially the Blues-music
- The migrants got used to the life in the life in Chicago without forgetting their roots
- They changed the music, made it dirtier and played with more realism and emotion
- One day Muddy Walters arrived in Chicago, which meant the success of Blues music.
- He changed the sound by making it more electrical
- It was the sound the public had waited for and the birth of the typical Chicago-Blues
- His first Band, consisting of great musicians, was called the Headhunters.
- One of his musicians, Little Walter, created an own way of playing the harmonica. This style became a standard for all the other bands following.
- More and more bands, who copied the style of Muddy Water where created, Chicago became the centre of Blues music
- A lot of musicians, who became famous later on, started their career by playing Blues music in the Maxwell Street
- But the success of the Chicago Blues did not last forever. In the 1950th the Rockn Roll fever started to grow, Elvis Presley became the new star. The Blues had a baby, and they named it Rockn Roll
- But there where some young musicians from the West Side of Chicago, who helped the Chicago Blues to survive.
- They combined the traditional Blues with a Rock-Groove, funky Beats, modern guitar-sounds and more bass

Hi,
das liest sich doch ganz gut!
Mir sind eigentlich nur Kleinigkeiten aufgefallen:
- in Zeile 10 würde ich z.B. schreiben, ...their number has grown ( oder become) bigger.
-One day Muddy Walters arrived in Chicago, which meant the success of Blues music - Was genau willst Du mit diesem Satz aussagen?

Nochmal vielen Dank!

Hallo,
wie wäre es denn mit sowas, wie:
Muddy Walters made decisive developments in ...
oder
Blues music became more famous by the work of Muddy Walters.
In diesem Sinne,
bis dann.
